Reman for Rental Part 4: More Sustainable

As environmentally-friendly practices become in-demand, rental companies are fielding more questions about their own sustainability practices.

Purchasing a reman engine is an excellent way to keep and old engine core and useable components our of landfills and reduce environmental impact. About 73 percent of the old engine can be salvaged during the remanufacturing process, which means that remanufacturing diesel engines saves approximately 21.9 million pounds of waste from being deposited in landfills.

A substantial amount of energy and waste goes into the development, production and transportation of a new engine. Reman engines cuts these energy costs by nearly 80 percent, allowing rental fleet managers to save money, and the environment.
